This review is from: Whirlaway 291 1/2 Horsepower Garbage Disposer (Tools & Home Improvement) We purchased the Whirlaway 291 1/2 HP Waste Disposer because it was identical to the one which we had in a seasonal home from the time of its delivery (a double wide prefab home) and which had worked flawlessly for 12 years until it was rusted solid via a faulty winter home closing this past year. We searched for an identical unit to avoid any revamping of the plumbing configuration and found the Whirlaway 291 on Amazon at a 60% discount from the price at other on line plumbing outlets. The unit has been installed and has worked flawlessly since its installation about a month ago. I am rather handy around the house and installed it myself but there are two cautions I would suggest to prospective buyers: 1) the unit doesn't come with a power cord. Fortunately I was able to reuse the power cord on the damaged unit but that adaption was not without some doctoring of the previous cord. 2) home repairs by non-professional home handymen like myself are great ly aided by well written and well illustrated installation instructions - even after reading and rereading the installation instructions and diagrams included with this unit there were moments of uncertainty. I finally worked out the installation via trial and error.
