 Not worth the savings, This review is from: Bicafe by Espressione Intenso Capsule (Kitchen) These pods make a tolerably thick espresso -- not as good as Nespresso, but you could learn to live with it if it tasted good. Coffee tastes are an individual thing, but to me the taste is weak and a little squirrelly, to the point I don't look forwrd to brewing another one. This review is from: Bicafe by Espressione Intenso Capsule (Kitchen) i was looking for a less expensive alternative to the nespresso capsules and thought i would try these. the coffee itself is wonderful. to get it to work properly with the nespresso machine, you have to make several incisions in the hard plastic in order for the water to get through, otherwise your machine will either turn off or the water will end up in the drain tray. i will not be buying these again because of the packaging. the plastic may or may not be recyclable. there is no indication on the box or on any other website that sells these about its recylability . also, there is the plastic wrapping around each capsule. definitely not recyclable. each box contains 50 capsules. that's a lot of waste i can't apply on of the three 'r's' to. i will be going back to nespresso even if ordering from them is a bit of a pain in the butt. the paper sleeve and aluminum capsules can be recycled without any problem, and that is a big selling point for me. 0 |
