WOW! - Lookin' for a great Christian Rock album? Well, you've found it!, October 7, 2013 This review is from: Lights Out (Audio CD) I'll admit it, I tend to purchase an inordinate amount of Christian Rock music. As such, I generally don't write reviews of the albums I purchase, because doing so would simply be too time consuming...but every once in a blue moon there's an album so good it's almost ethically and morally wrong if you're derelict in taking the time to write a positive review...Silverline's "Lights Out" album is one such situation.
I'd never heard of Silverline until Amazon.com recommended the "Lights Out" album based upon some other purchase (unfortunately, I don't remember what album purchase prompted this recommendation). Based upon the recommendation, I checked out Silverline on Wikipedia, and they did in fact sound like a legit Christian Rock band. So, I decided to blindly give them a shot.
In the past, blindly "giving bands a shot" has often turned out to just be a well intentioned waste of money. However, Silverline's "Lights Out" is a t otally different story. Put simply, the "Lights Out" album is "Grade A" investment for both your ears and your soul.
The music, the vocals, the message - it's the total package and refreshingly beautiful in every possible way. It'll blow your hair back, make your head bob, and replenish your soul one track at a time.
My recommendation: Buy this album right now and listen to it tomorrow morning on your way to work / school. Even if it doesn't turn out to be the best day of your life (and it might), I guarantee at the very least it'll be the most enjoyable commute you've have in a long, long time.
Although Silverline doesn't necessarily sound like any of the following bands, this is simply a list of other bands that appeal to me and may give some indication as to whether or not you'll enjoy the "Lights Out" album as much as I do: Ashes Remain, Brave Saint Saturn, Close Your Eyes, Decyfer Down, Disciple, FM Static, Hawk Nelson, Kutless, Ne edtobreathe, Nine Lashes, P. O. D., Pillar, Red, Sent By Ravens, Since October, Skillet, Spoken, The Wedding, Thousand Foot Krutch, Write This Down, etc. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? < /span> |
