We use these at the metal fabrication shop I work at on a daily basis. These sanders stand up well to continual heavy abuse. They are powerful and reliable. Don't waste your money on a cheaper version that will break down after a few weeks of intermittent use. You won't be disappointed with this sander.

*A note: these sanders are not ready to run right out of the box, as they do not come with the male hose coupling to attach to whatever air line you will be running them from.

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive!, March 9, 2014
This review is from: Dynabrade 56815 Dynorbital Supreme Non-Vacuum Random Orbital Sander, 5-Inch (Tools & Home Improvement)
I work for a small company that manufactures utility truck bodies for TEREX. I use a DA sander for an average of two hours per day taking down the bondo that covers welds and found the available sanders to be "lacking". I decided to by my own.
This sander weighs about the same as an Ingersoll Rand 4152 which is what the company buys, however this Dynabrade has 20% more horsepower and is MUCH quieter.
As for how it works, I can't begin to describe how unbelievably smooth this sander is to operate! Everyone that has used it just loves it. I have to keep a close eye on it or it grows legs and walks away... I'm planning on buying another with a 3/32 orbit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic sander, December 30, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Dynabrade 56815 Dynorbital Supreme Non-Vacuum Random Orbital Sander, 5-Inch (Tools & Home Improvement)
I found out about these from a relative that has a cabinet making shop. They had older models and I really liked using it in his shop so I bought my own. This is a great sander, very easy and comfortable to use. It can get in tight places by lifting the edge and just touching the opposite side on whatever you are sanding. The maximum air pressure is 60PSI so you need to have a regulator on your compressor. I also added one to remove moisture as I really do not like water coming out on any wood projects I am sanding.
I did not get the vacuum attachment so I just keep my shop vac close to whatever I am sanding and there is very little dust. I bought Mirka 5" discs for it and they work well together. I have not bought any of the other heads for this sander yet, but I like it so much, I plan on it later.
