Drop Balls In & Let the Fun Begin!
When baby drops balls into the top of the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Count & Color Gumball toy, and then gives it a high-five or presses its hand, it comes to life with a friendly character face, lights, sounds, music, and rolling ball motion. Four colorful gumballs and three modes of play with sing-along songs, fun sounds, and phrases (in English and in Spanish!) let baby discover Learning, Music and Bilingual fun.
Learning Moments
Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn toys, like the Count & Color Gumball toy make every moment a fun learning moment for baby. Lights, sounds, songs and action stimulate babyâs developing senses, and help baby learn about colors, numbers, counting, opposites, and more. Babyâs actions are what make fun things happenâ"introducing baby to cause and effect. Figuring out how to make things happen encourages babyâs thinking and problem solving skills, too.
See What Develops
Sitting up for play with the gumball machine helps develop balance, coordination, and muscle strength. And, pressing the coin button to activate lights, sounds and music, or grasping gumballs to drop them into the top, or high-fiving the character friend to make balls roll down the ramp all help baby develop fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination. Colorful balls roll down, around, and right back to sitting babies for even more skill-building and put-and-take fun. Rolling ball action encourages older babies to crawl and chase balls, too, exercising babyâs gross motor skills.
Isn't it Amazing?
Watching their faces light up as they explore, discover, play⦠all those moments when children learn best. Thatâs why Fisher-Price builds learning into everything we make. With playful ways to engage curious minds, exercise little bodies, and nurture budding personalities. Because nothingâs more amazing than sharing the joy of learning with your child.

And, with the Fisher-Price name behind it, I was pretty confident with the purchase. 0 The voice and sounds really get my baby excited and the colors are very vibrant. The opening at the top is big enough that with his 6 month old gross motor skills, he is easily able to put the balls back inside the top. He did get frustrated once when his hand got stuck inside, however. (He put a ball back inside, but forgot to let go of the ball and the combination of the ball and his hand were too large to get out) One thing that I found disappointing was that when you press the hand to release a ball, which triggers the sound, the color recited doesn't match the ball that's dropped. Another problem with the toy is that the balls have the Fisher-price logo stamped into them. That, combined with the slope of the ramp sometimes prevent the balls fr om rolling down and around. (They get stuck in the opening). Spanish/English mode is a nice bonus. Unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives and this is a purchase I would not recommend to anyone. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful = Durability: This review is from: Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Count and Color Gumball (Toy) We got this as a gift for my 12 month old son's birthday, and he enjoys dropping the balls into the top (along with other random toys that get stuck;)) and pressing the coin button to play sounds, but usually only plays with it for a few minutes at a time before moving on to something else. 0 In general, it's a very cute, simple toy: press it's hand/give it five to drop a ball, and it rolls around to the bottom of the ramp where there's a button to "insert coins" and play music. Dropping gumballs in leaning mode will either play a song, or start counting to 5 or naming colors with matching light when you press (note: not tied to the color of the actual dropped ball). In "Music" mode it'll spout off short phrases like "that was fun" and "Whee". Insert balls back through the top to start again. It also works with other fisher price balls. The music and sound effects are fun and pleasant in all 3 modes (get stuck in your head, but n ot in bad disturbing way like some other toys out there;)). Songs are not interrupted by rapid hand pressing, but counting and colors are. Drawback is that little guy usually drops the gumballs too fast to actually hear what it's saying before playing the next number or color.;) Construction is pretty sturdy and solid though, so high mark for durability. So overall, it's a cute toy that reinforces counting and colors that's fun for Mom too, but from my experience isn't as engrossing as other uber toys with more functions/widgets. Will it still be fun for him when he's 2 or 3? Only time will tell; will update as we go along.:) 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Count and Color Gumball (Toy) This was actually picked out for my 18 mth old by my 10 year old. It was the best present of Christmas. It takes a beating from both children who love to play with it together. They role the balls back and forth as well as using the toy as it was designed. As previously mentioned they have been none too gentle with it and it has held up fine. 0 My only concern is that the plastic balls can be a little dangerous when thrown by an enthusiastic 18th mth old. The detail on the balls also makes them behave a little erratically when rolled or bounced. This can be fun or sting a little on impact. Still, it has been great fun. Now, if I can only find all five balls at the same time. |
