In addition, parabens have the ability to mimic estrogen, a hormone known to be related to breast cancer development and affect early puberty. Whether or not these chemicals actually cause harm is not yet known or have not been proven, but until these concerns can be definitively answered, I will not use this product on my child. The risks are not worth it. There are many other products, including the regular Aveeno Daily Moisturizer, that do not contain these controversial preservatives. I find it appalling that they include these questionable chemicals into their product and market it specifically to babies.
