Nonetheless I have a pair in my hands. For those not familiar with Manhattan, they are one of these middle-low priced brands that make all kinds of accessories, like mice, accessory cords and adapters, KVM switches, serial and parallel cards, and probably other stuff I'm not even aware of. The good thing are their prices. The scary thing is "how much are they cutting out to keep the price low", which is a difficult balancing techniques used by many other companies. 0 I didn't even know about these until around Halloween last year when our sales rep was running around trying to put them on anyone who'd let them. I was one of the ones that let him, and I was pretty amazed at the sound, its features, and the low price (compared to some others). It's 3rd in my line up of electonics for me to test/revi ew - but I jumped ahead because I kept getting asked about them. Firt experience: 1. Charging is done via USB (mini USB on headphones, regular USB on other end). 2. It folds real nice, like an expensive pair of sunglasses, and the rail that you either pull out or push in to make it fit your head is plastic reinforced with a metallic overlay which I guess helps it last longer. Another plus. 3. Besides Blue tooth you can also connect with a regular mini audio cable (included) 4. They aren't too heavy and seemed fairly comfortable. On the outer shell of the left ear pad you have a + and a - to raise and lower volume as well as << and >> to skip over songs. The inside of this end of the headphones has on/off switch. Also, on the bottom of the ear cup you'll find a recessed Parabolic Microphone so if it's being used on a phone you can talk through it. On the outside of the other ear pad has one purpose: you press it to pause or start the music. The instructions say that there are 10 pre-recorded statements in a womans voice. "Power off"; "Power ON", etc. - I've heard about 4 of them so far, and none said "Self-Destructing in 5 minutes". I used the cable to plug it into my older style iPod (no B.tooth) and it sounded very good. Then I activated the blue tooth on the iphone first, then the headset, and connected it to my phone and started playing music. Sounded just as good as when it was wired. Last, but not least: I set the phone down on the table, closed the door and walked across the hall into the other room (about 20ft or so) and it never dropped the connection. So there you have my quick 2-hours of use review, which I'll update as time goes on. 'Nuff Said, Brian 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful By This review is from: Manhattan 178136 Flyte Wireless Headset White (Personal Computers) I have tried a number of Bluetooth headsets, and the quality and the sound of this one is WAY better then those you see out in the market for 0 +. You have to experience them yourself. 0 Never heard of Manhattan before this, but if this is how they make products, I'm a fan Great product! 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Manhattan 178136 Flyte Wireless Headset White (Personal Computers) Pros: Good sound, well constructed and the reception they claim, make these 0 at a very reasonable price, the best deal I could find. I've tried several in the 0 range and none compared. Cons: Comfortable padding but definitely need to be expanded Way too tight. I wear a 7-1/2 cap and until they were broken in were uncomfortable. When said and done, try them, I think you'll be pleased. |
